Night falls in Kouramades…
A group of seven friends have a farewell party at Ellie’s & Michael’s flat in Nottingham. The night starts with a dinner and drinks, reminiscing about good old times, until around 12.00am when they decide to play their favourite role-playing game “Night falls in Palermo”. This time they will play it slightly differently though. Night will fall in Kouramades, a village in Corfu, where Freedom the narrator is from.
With a pack of playing cards of unknown origin found in Eliza’s backpack, they quickly plunge into the game’s world, a seemingly endless death and fantasy game. They all get transferred to the mysterious village of “Kouramades” for an entire night, where they all have to play their role in the game.
How could this innocent game affect the personal relationships of the players? Would you kill your best friend or your partner to escape from this strange universe? How’s the story going to end? What’s special about these playing cards? Does the Black King have the power to escape from this universe and enter the humans’ world?
